Albion Learning Services (UK) Ltd, hereby, will be able to use MercuriusPoliticus registered trade mark logo which will allow the former to use this recognizable sign, design or expression identifying all the education products or services under MercuriusPoliticus.
Albion Learning Services (UK) Ltd, though will be able to deliver all MercuriusPoliticus education courses, the latter’s academic board always reserves right to any learner’s final assessment and validation in order to qualify for an award.
In order to discharge the statutory obligations, Board of Studies of Albion Learning Services (UK) Ltd will be responsible to the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus for the following key functions:
- the approval and evaluation of academic strategy for each of the affiliate/franchisee/approved learning centre partner
- the strategic consideration of all programme proposals for submission to the the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus, including the rigour of the underpinning market research, the learner choice available and the strategic fit of the proposal
- the strategic consideration of proposed collaborative provision, including Institutional Agreements and Exchange Partners, for submission to the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus
- the academic standards and quality of the education, teaching and research across the affiliate/franchisee/approved learning centre partner and the dissemination of good practice
- the monitoring and review of implementation of institutional quality assurance and academic frameworks
- consideration of delegation of authority to appropriate subject-level fora to approve minor and intermediate changes to units on the recommendation of affiliate/franchisee/approved learning centre partner
- the monitoring of the progress of individual learners (including exceptional changes of learner circumstances and individual schemes of study and supplementary assessment), under delegated powers from the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus
- the award of degrees on the recommendation of Board of Studies of Albion Learning Services (UK) Ltd for Programmes, under delegated powers from the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus
- rescission of an original award and grant of a new award as a result of either a learner academic review or an administrative error identified after the conferment of the original award. This rescission may be authorised by the Chair on behalf of the Board of Studies of Albion Learning Services (UK) Ltd
- the establishment of new academic prizes, under delegated powers from the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus
- the conduct and outcomes of studentacademic reviews and investigation of assessment offences
- the monitoring of student complaints, student academic reviews and investigations of assessment offences
- the appointment of External Examiners (except where the aggregate term of office exceeds four consecutive years) and Visiting Academic Staff under delegated powers from the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus
- establishment, award and grant of Fellowships, Studentships, Scholarships, Bursaries and other such grants at the level of Albion Learning Services (UK) Ltd
- the receipt and consideration of reports from the academic board of MercuriusPoliticus
